The upper instrument consists of a stand assembly, cover disk, condenser holder and a rotating water supply. The stand rotates so that all positions are accessible from the front. Parallel manifolds provide cooling water equally to all condensers, and have one supply line and one drain line. Accessories include a thermometer, water flow meter, quick-disconnect tube fittings and tubing.

The stainless-steel water bath is thermostatically controlled and it will accurately maintain water temperature up to 100°C. It has a constant water-level device. A high temperature safety switch and a GFCI electrical plug are installed for safety. An intrinsically safe, purged case is available as an option. The bath has Underwriter's Laboratory approval for laboratory use in the USA and in Canada.

ROT-X-TRACT-LC Features:

	Accomodates the Corning Accerated One-Step* extractors in a compact arrangement.
	Glassware is easily installed and removed.

	Single heat source provides even, reliable heat without the need for pressurized hot-water plumbing

	Solvent volume of 100ml extracts a 1-liter water sample.
	Performs both the extraction and concentration steps
	Waste solvent is recovered for a cleaner enviroment.

ROT-X-TRACT-LC Operations:

The ROT-X-TRACT-LC holds and operates up to eight Corning Accelerated One-Step extractors. This system will process water samples quickly while using less solvent than other methods. After initial loading, the unit can operate unattended. Sample extraction can normally be completed in six hours.

Glassware is securely held in position by ring stands and clips. The condensers are supported by stainless-steel plates and can remain in the instrument when the extractors are removed. The water manifolds are equipped with quick disconnect/auto shut-off fittings for convenience. For more information on the glassware please see other page.

A recirculating water chiller is recommended as an accessory. It allows precise control of condenser temperature, minimizes solvent loss, and conserves water. We have 2 models available: The 875-watt unit @ 120 volts is Catalog # 17740; the 2,350-watt unit @ 240 volts is Catalog # 17750-2. Please specify when ordering.
