The instrument consists of a
base and stand assembly, mounted in a deep bath. The entire instrument rotates
so that all samples are accessible from the front. Kuderna-Danish flasks sit on
a cover disk with attached concentrator tubes immersed in the bath water.
Solvents with boiling points up to 65° C can be handled. For maximum beat
transfer, jar shaped flasks can be immersed directly into the bath water. An
optional vacuum manifold permits solvents with boiling points up to 90° C
to be processed.
The condenser water supply includes a flow inner,
rigid supply tube, rotating inlet/drain port, parallel supply/return manifolds
and a flexible return tube. Quick-disonncct fittings are used on the manifolds
The system can be connected to a bench coldwater tap. A refrigerated water
chiller is recommended as an accessory for improved control of condenser
temperature and water conservation.
The 8.5-inch deep, stainless steel
water bath is thermostatically controlled and will accurately maintain water
temperature from 30° to 100° C.It is equipped with a water level
device, a high temperature limit switch and a GFCI electrical plug for safety.
An intrinsically safe, purged case is available as an option. The bath is
UL/CUL approved for laboratory use. |
